In this case, no case was raised. He was suspended pending an investigation, but as nobody made a formal complaint, there was not much that could, or should, be done.
Didn't it come from a Tory newspaper originally? You can't really go kicking people out because a newspaper makes an allegation that is not even backed up by the person the paper says was a victim. That'd be open to massive abuse.
