I am not at all cruel; my concerns are all to do with fighting against cruelty, and I've never understood the obsession about criticising people who hate things. Hate is a natural human emotion.

OH YES IT DOES! Compare the murder rate since the abolition of the death penalty with that before it. There are many many more murders and attempted murders nowadays.

When comparing, don't forget those victims of serious assaults and stabbings whose lives are only saved by modern medical procedures that were not available pre-abolition. You can count those as murders.

Bring it back.

Could you or would you do it, someone who had purposely taken your childs life? That's what I assume you mean by retribution. Or maybe more probably for someone else to do it?
