Not sure if I'm fighting a lost cause but wondered if anyone could give us any advice.
Recently repaired our quite old condenser dryer(new heating element) and all has been working fine. Today the wife said he was spluttering and that it stopped. Had a look at it and the drums not turning at all and no hum from motor. All I here is a clicking sound from the board. Took the top and side off and belt is fine.
Does it sound like the motors gone or could it be a capicitor etc?

Any advice appreciated.

I'm no expert but the absence of a hum suggests it is the motor rather than the capacitor, or maybe the pcb has failed in some way

In which case given its age it might be time to replace it.

Cheers for the replys. Was hoping it was something simpler. Oh well, had a good number of years out of it
