I don't like football anyway but see that the women's world cup is on BBC1 tonight.

Are any football fans genuinely interested in the womens game?

Is it on BBC because there is no money in it and/or because the BBC would think it the right thing to do?
Will you be watching it or watching a 'proper' game if you subscribe to other channels?

I do like other sports but am only interested it the top tier of them - plus, of course, there isn't time to watch all levels - let alone games or races especially for those who aren't good enough for the top level.

Womens' football has much improved in recent years.
I won't be watching tonight though, as swmbo thinks we have football on too much anyway.

I thought England were very good in the recent She Believes Cup, but the pitches seemed very slow, so really sharp passing wasn't possible, which made it look worse than the mens' games.

I was wondering with the google doodle today if they'd have cutesy bunnies, birdies and other creatures while advertising/celebrating the normal world cup... I suspect not!

I dislike the way still in this day and age whenever you hear 'and now the sport' it's normally mens football golf or cricket, three of my most disliked sports ever in the world.

With regards to women's football and the oh so politically correct BBC, as long as you're a non white disabled lesbo transexual muslim you're always going to get high priority coverage. I am a strong avocate of equality for women etc, but genetically women dont cut it in many physical sports from an entertainment perspective, there are exceptions such as gymnastics etc and of course extreme ironing. But womens football is dull as dishwater agree.

Nothing to do with sport but equality.

Just seen Emma Thompson on a chat show.

All nonsense, I know,but -
She said if her husband had been knighted, she would automatically become Lady so and so, but because she has just been made a Dame, nothing for her husband.

Extreme ironing

You clearly have no idea about football then.

Good morning Brigadier who.. who is your superior? Are you happy today it's Saturday you must be.
Anyway care to expand what I have no idea about :)

Well what can I say.. stopped playing footy at school when i left to save the world instead. I was always in school teams and dare I say I am and still one of the most tenacious midfielders you will ever meet, perhaps not quite got the agility I had though.

That aside every football fan is an absolute armchair expert most of my mates are despite them being overweight porkers I could still run rings round them on a full pitch 5 against one :p

But no I care to give no ****s about pro football, overpaid and over excited.

I pay 5 side now n again only to vary fitness routines.

I don't and can't talk a good game but I can play..thats what normally counts.

That lack of physicality is a hindrance in football.

Oh, and good morning to you too, Festive.
