Yes, as long as you are prepared to buy a new print head. :)
ISTR that nail polish remover can be too harsh.

Don’t know what model of HP printer you have, but when I bought one for my mother for Christmas, two spare ink cartridges cost more than the printer- it was just over £40 on a 'special' - the cartridges were £45 and they were own brand PC World ones. Fitted one new cartridge the other week and kept getting error messages so took them back where I was told that they were crap - got a refund, added more money and bought genuine HP ones. It would have been cheaper to have bought another printer at the time just for the cartridges - they were full size ones not the half empty ones you usually get. Genuine cartridges sorted the problem out. Is it worth trying to repair something that costs so little? I only changed my mums one because the Bluetooth connection kept failing.

Isn’t there a print head cleaning programme on the printer?

My HP printer has the "print heads" built into the cartridge, new cartridge...new print head. Two cartridges, one black and one tri-colour

HP Deskjet series, HP Officejet and HP Envy series have this feature. Cartridges might cost a bit more but there is no wasted ink and no need to clean the printer.

Yes. The one I bought my mother, the one I have at home and the one I have in work are HP Envy printers. Cheap as chips for what they do.

Thanks all model is hp office jet pro 6830 there is printhead clean prog on printer but with the error"there is problem with printhead" it would not let me do anything! Cartridges are genuine hp ones the printhead is separate assembley not part of cartridge googling the model does have manufacture fault ! Advise to clean printhead assembley neighbour has isopropyl alcohol i wil borrow some dilute with water & clean the assembley hope for the best ! If not will replace with new printer(done under 300 pages ) is the error due to very little use??
Thanks for all input

is the error due to very little use??

Very likely, the ink in the print head dries out between use. The "clean head" function on some printers uses more ink to soften and flush out the dried ink.
