If the climate scientists are to be believed its possible we could reach the point of no return in just over a decade.

I guess there is nothing wrong with floating radical ideas to consider.

We will have to stop eating meat and grow more trees.

You should get rid of your work van and travel by bike (y)

I don't believe in climate change or the suggested remedies. For example every wind farm that is built just necessitates the extension of conventional power sources.

Thats true, wind farms need redundancy, but they still create renewable energy when working. The cradle to grave / embodied energy arguments are more complex but still work for wind power.

The developing technology for power is storage of electricity, which solves wind farm limitations.

Sadly man made influence on climate is accepted by the vast majority of scientists, so its hard to come up with a decent argument against.

We will be hitting ecological limits to growth. In the same breath they will deny climate change but then scream we are running out of resources and we are full.

The future of work will change due to automation, climate change, rising inequality, resource scarcity - you can try find answers or regurgitate right wing screed of dumb ****s.

Look at how real wages have declined as we have deindistrialised and the rise in non standard employment.

Another dumb piece by the Mail to keep its stupid readers angry.

Don't misunderstand me, the climate change argument has highlighted that it is ridiculous for mankind to rely on power from unsustainable resources. But I object to the headlong rush into solutions with out international agreement.

At the same time our politicians are being put under immense pressure (not that I care about them) to explain to youngsters when they say things like "You are destroying my future, why have you done that? and what are doing about it?". It's very hard to look kids in the eye when they say such things.

PS Any way Sir insult has turned up with his usual aggression so another thread is ruined.

The thread was ruined when you posted a link from the DM.

Donr, anarchist does not mean what you seem to think it does; you may as well call McDonnell an astronaut.

Good news, anarchist mc donkey wants to cut working week to 10 hours, hooray
Bad news, anarchist mc donkey wants to cut wages by 75%, Boo.

That is what socialist's are voting for, and remember it will all be legal, just like in North Korea.

Why would anyone vote for these nutters?

You know what you could do.

You could do what the DM didn't do, nor any of your fellow-travellers who have commented there have done, and look at the report(s) being cited and see if you can see where they are suggesting a 10-hour week and 75% pay cuts.

Unless, of course, you want to cling to your attitude of never letting the facts change an ignorant and bigoted opinion.
