Unidentifiable smell coming from floor!

Help! I have a horrid smell in my dining room that I can identify coming from one corner of our wooden floor.

The smell has been for possibly 6/7 months. The intensity of that smell doesn’t change and there are no flies. I know it’s not a rodent .

The floor itself is a wood floor and sits on top of a 3ft cavity underneath.

There was a mini fridge sat on top of this area and we recently moved the fridge but the smell in that part of the floor exists.

I’ve checked the fridge for any dead trapped nasties in the back by the coil and the water tray and all are fine.

Question is - what could it be ? How to get rid of it. I’ve tried bleach and Zoflora and that hasn’t get rid of it. The smell quite frankly is a smell of ..... **** and it’s in the floor (sorry can’t think of a nicer way to say it)

Could it be stagnant water in the floor? Does that smell this bad?

Anyone who has an opinion and advice is appreciated. It’s not a rodent so please don’t suggest that as we know it’s not that.

Do you have any cats/dogs.
We had a problem with a smell & found the dog was marking it.

Can you get under to check for water? Could be a leaking drain.

Anything in the fridge that might have leaked before moving ?

It was a drinks fridge so possible but that’s where I’m going with the stagnant water comment. Need to look into it further.

No animals so it’s not that either

Have you been down into the sub-floor space to have a nose around?
Could there be a cracked drain in that area?

It may have been icky water that leaked out of the tray above the pump.

Consider using an enzyme based cleaner before ripping up the floor. I have only ever used them to deal with the uric acid left in dog pee but they worked (after numerous applications).
