Hello.

Trying to find a Metal T Splitter for TV cable. The pictures show (1) the outdoor box, (2) the connector (3) showing one end of the connector.

Please advise where to find a Splitter with two male ends and one female. So far unable to find one.

Thank you.

Your pictures show a Virgin cable junction box. I really can't recommend you tamper with that. If you have a live Virgin contract then (whether you realise it or not) you signed agreeing their terms and conditions which includes that everything up to and including the router and/or Tivo-type recording box is their property. IOW, it's not yours to mess about with splitting.

Virgin's network engineers balance the signal levels to each property so that the routers and recorders get the right level of signal to noise ratio. If you split at the incomer, you will reduce the signal by more than half.

Also, what are you hoping to hang off the end of the new branch? I think if they see a new IP address for a foreign router, or MAC addresses for routers and recorders, then you're going to have to explain how they're attached when there's a no tamper clause.

Back to the splitter, you need a wideband splitter with screw-on F connectors. Coax plugs in male or female version are not right for this job.

The router is on 1st Floor with one Tv. The new Tv is on Ground Floor. From your very detailed info, it seems I might just have to get an indoor aerial.

Thank you.
