I voted leave.
I am a Eurosceptic, always have been.
However, the strength of the UK on the world stage depends very much on the trade alliances it has.
Being a key member of the EU increases the UKs strength by a huge amount.
And dont forget, 40 plus years of trading means the UK has got itself a pretty decent deal with the EU.
If the UK leaves without a deal, it will be looking at the world with no trade deals. That means the UK will be desperate to have deals whefever it can.
If you go to a van dealer and say to them: Ive gotta have a van today' -how much discount will you get. They wil, say 'weve just had a van in, its not valeted, and its covered in dents......but if you want it today'
So In hindsight, I shouldve voted to stay in and as a Eurosceptic, and looked for the UK to work on reforming the EU from the inside.
We go to this van dealer and say. We are a wealthy nation
of 70 odd million. We like your vans and want to buy some. No fancy stuff! Do you want a deal or not?
