Intermediate switching issue

Folks,

Have received great help here before and was hoping some of you more seasoned electric whizzes might be able to give me some direction.

The diagram attached shows my front hall set up. Switches 1,2 and 3 all operate light A. A second switch on switch 2 also operates light B with switch 4. 2 is the intermediate switch in relation to light A.

I recently upgraded all switches in the house but was unable to source a suitable 2 gang intermediate to use here. So I opted to omit the ability for switch 2 to operate light A by connecting the intermediate side wires with wago connectors, and wired up a 1 gang switch, so switch 2 now only operates light B with switch 4. Light A works perfectly as it should.

Light B however will only operate off one of the switches at a time, if that makes sense. Essentially it works, turning on and off with switch 2, but if I switch it on at 2, then off at 4, 2 won't switch it back on unless I switch 4 back.

I appreciate that I may not be quite clear, it seems clear to me as it's been tormenting me for weeks. Any assistance would be VERY much appreciated lads and ladies!

You must have altered something of switch 2B which you did not need to do - apart from replacing.

Make sure the same colour wire is in the common terminals of switch 2(B) and 4.
If not, swap the two appropriate wires in one of the switches.

There are double intermediate switches.

Is it that the model/design you have chosen does not do them?

First you can use grid switches or similar to get a 2 gang intermediate switch, at a bit higher overall cost.
Secondly we would need a wiring diagram, or at least photos of how it was before and is now at each switch.
