Suspended Timber Floor rebuild

Masonry joist hangers have a limitation: they only work if the joist lines up with a mortar joint.

I think this will fit in a standard gun. Comes with a couple of helix mixer nozzles because once it goes off in the nozzle, then you need another nozzle. That's why you set a levelling beam/shelf before you start, so that once all the slots are done you can keep moving on to the next slot and hanger before the resin sets in the mixer nozzle.

You can buy separate mixer nozzles but 2 should be enough if you cut all the slots 1st and use a temp level beam to sit the resin mortared hangers on.

the idea is that you fill the slot with resin mortar before you insert the hanger, then there are no voids when you have finished
I was replying to cdbes post directly above mine that said no need to use resin

2.1m is too big a span for 97 x 47mm floor joists at 400 crs. On a suspended timber floor 1.8m is maximum spacing for honeycomb sleeper walls supporting 97 x 47mm joists and some builders I have known prefer 1.5mm maximum spacing for sleeper walls for those joists otherwise the floor can be a bit springy. I would recommend deeper joists.

Use 122 x 47 joists at 400mm centres for 2.1m span. (herringbone strutting at mid span not required for spans less than 2.5m )
