Earth wire clip broken on light

My light fitting had a small clip which was tightened into one end of a terminal block. The earth wire from the ceiling was supposed to connect into the other end to complete this circuit.

Problem: the small clip has broken and I can’t see where I can attach the earth cable to complete this circuit.

Are there any viable options please?

You can probably drill a new hole and put a nut and bolt though and use a ring terminal, as long as it won't be visible.
You must thoroughly remove any paint from the area, so it makes a good connection, ideally with a dremel or die grinder type tool.

The "clip" that you mention may be part of the fitting extended into the centre terminal of a triple "chocolate block, with the Line and Neutral connected at either side.

If the "clip" is (basically) copper, you may be able to solder a bear copper wire to extend what is left of it to the required terminal.
If it is aluminium you may have a problem.

How about a picture it may just be a "parking place" for the circuit earth, the light may not need one.

I’m unsure on how useful this picture is but this is the light fitting. The area circled in black is where there was a clip which then screwed into the terminal block.

As an improvisation, I’ve taken a wire and put some earth sleeving over it. I’ve screwed one end to the terminal (instead of the clip) and wrapped the other end around the thread circled in red. I’ve also wrapped some insulation tape around this to ensure it retains contact.

Can you please advise. Thanks

It is the metal base that needs earthing. I am not convinced that the screwed sleeve is in metallic contact with the base. You need a continuity tester to check this.
Trying to hold wire on with plastic tape doesn’t last. It comes unstuck.
Check continuity of the screw thread first. If there is continuity with the base, loosen off the nut on the screw thread and fix the earth wire there.
If there is no continuity, you’ll need to solder the wire to the base, or find an alternative means of fixing it, properly.
 
When did you buy the light fitting? It says 2019 on the label (I think).

I'd be taking it back, as it's possibly still under guarantee, and really the earth fixing shouldn't just come away like that.
