What would be the best glue for bonding a 'cut edge' and a 'flat edge' of kingspan insulation board - I'm wanting to make a box out of the 50mm stuff. I can push the board through a circular saw so the cut edge will be a good flat finish.

OK, might not be best, but I find that it sticks anything!

Foam adhesive works well but 50mm does not provide a big area to glue to, you could reinforce with some wire staples pushed into corners , I used old wire coat hangers cut down .

maybe do a few finger joints for added support?

I used this:

I actually did make a box from celotex (it covers my loft ladder). No problems and it gets a fair bit of knocking around.

Might want to seal the edges with foil tape , dust from that stuff can be nasty.

The safety sheet seems to suggest the dust is non hazardous. Obviously not breathing any in will be my goal when cutting the stuff and will be using face mask etc, but I think needing to tape up cut edges may be a little OTT from a heath point of view - but it would certainly look better.

I did like the warning over the dangers of sunburn from the reflective surfaces on sunny days

It may be non-hazardous but it gets on your chest and takes quite a bit of coughing up! So best handled whilst masked up. Taping the edges with aluminium foil works well for reducing the dust issue
