Kitchen appliances load

Hi

Quick question, recently underwent a full kitchen refurb. This included a full rewire and the kitchen is now seperate to the rest of the house

Circuits are
Lighting
32a oven circuit
32a ring main

The other day, i thought i was being really efficient in doing the house work, i turned on the dishwasher, washing machine on 60 degree cycle and tumble dryer all on at the same time

On this circuit is also a fridge freezer and a small chest freezer

To my surprise the mcb tripped, i flicked it back and all was well. Although i didn't run them all together again, rather separate to see if any one was at fault. They were all fine and have since been fine. Not ran them all at once

My question is, what i did on the weekend, would that exceed the load to trip the breaker or should i be getting someone round

Only happened once over the weekend.

Roughly how soon after you 'turned them all on at the same time" did the MCB trip?

Are you sure it is an MCB that tripped ?
Or is it an RCBO ,Or RCD ?

If you were to assume these appliances (dryer, dishwasher, washing machine ) all take 13A each at the point they are switched on, that is 13Ax3 = 39A. This is above 32A.
I don't recall what a 32A MCB trips at.

The washing machine and dishwasher will be heating water as soon at they are switched on, which uses a lot of current

Never at ≤1.13 x 32 = 36.16A
In 1 hour at 1.45 x 32 = 46.4A

Many thanks all I would say a matter of less than 15 to 20 mins

All appliances have been on since multiple times seperatly with no issues

next time, after you have run them, see if their plugs feel very hot.

maybe one is greedy

As EFLI has implied, even if all three appliances were drawing 13A continuously (which wouldn't be the case) (i.e. 39A total), it should take well over an hour to trip a 32A MCB.

Ok. That is an MCB.

It is an older type than all the rest. Do you know why that was fitted?

I couldn't say. It was a new consumer unit fitted and i assumed it was all new

Does the same still apply in the scenario i have a fridge/freezer and a chest freezer on the circuit
