At the time of the attack the Japanese prime minister was in Tehran meeting the Iranian government to discuss better relations.
For some reason we are told that the Iranians decided it would be a very good idea to attack a Japanese ship.

Look at the history of Iran, after WW2 it was a democratic state until the British and Americans organised a coup and overthrew the legitimate leader and installed a dictator.
Back then the Americans used outright lies and disinformation to justify the overthrow of a legitimate government.

I am not retired neither do I have a table in my kitchen

that bloke in charge in iran , ayatollah/ president what ever his name is , is merely a figure head

the real power is else where

so tbh he probably has not got a scooby doo as to what is really going on

Sir you seem rather keen for a war? May you kindly advise if you will be going yourself to fight and/or sending your own children to the front lines?

Trump has created a crisis out of nothing.
The Iranian nuclear problem had been sorted, all the signatories to the deal with Tehran were satisfied that the Iranians were delivering on their side of the deal.
Along comes Trump and unilaterally tears up the agreement because he doesn't like it, he then not only threatens to destroy Iran he tells his allies in Europe he will sanction them if they don't pull out of the deal as well.
America used to be respected as much for its democratic values as it military power but now they behave like gangsters.
