Very simple question but I can't find the answer.
Some wall switches have white insert to conceal the retaining screws. These inserts are damaged when removing them and always need to be replaced.
Can't find a supplier on the internet partly because I can only describe them but not name what they are listed as.
Anyone bought these and if so where from and what are the 'pesky' little things called.
Or another solution would be how to remove the damn things without damaging them.

There are sometimes spare ones attached to the back of the faceplate - have you checked?

Beyond that, although there might be 'generic' ones (or, at least, 'one that fit') ones available, I fear that you might well find that they are manufacturer-specific, so you might need to look to the manufacturer of the switches concerned.

Kind Regards, John

Thanks for your replies. It rather confirms my searches are pretty much a waste of time.
Tried the Blue Tac approach without success, they are in pretty tight.
May be the blank plate approach it the answer .

Thanks rags. They are the very fellas.
I need to check on the manufacturer of the sockets, they are installed in a new build at my sons house. I will check this evening .
Thanks again.

Schneider lisse sockets (my favourites) come with two pairs of caps on the back of the double plate accessories.
