Is this granite or Engineered stone

New build 7 years ago, cancelled order, salesman told us it had granite worktops in kitchen.

Always thought it was till we came to extend and looked at the underside of the worktop.

It looks totally different.

So do you think it is engineered stone or quartz rather than natural granite?

We are selling the whole kitchen so need to get it right.

First the top with golden flecks:



Then the underside with no flecks and very repetitive pattern.

That's interesting.
I get the feeling if your underside was highly polished it would look the same as the topside.

If my underside was highly polished it would look nothing like the topside.

Still undecided.
