1 side of my Dormer doesnt have tiles on it?????

We have just finished out Dormer extension

It has Spanish slate on 2 of the 3 sides. the 3rd side is just (what i would describe as a Black fabric)

I only discovered this when i went into our neighbours loft and looked out their window at our extension. I questioned the builders. They say this is fine and they couldnt tile the 3rd side (facing my neighbours property) due to access. They say this is fine and the fabric is as good as the tiles. Sounds a bit fishy to me?

Am i being taken for a ride here. Or is this legitimate?

If it's a pastel linen fabric it will be OK for a nice summer look, but will need to be changed for a a nice brown tweed for the autumn.

Ask yourself why the fabric is not on all sides, if its legitimate, or even on every other dormer in the country. FFS.

Depends what the "fabric" is, doesn't it? EPDM would last longer than Tyvek. More information needed.

The builders didn't expect you to do that

So they had enough access to fit soakers, flashings and the black stuff
How about a picture?

I can hear your builder's spurs jangling.
