Tommy Robinson has launched a public appeal for Donald Trump to grant him asylum in the United States as he faces being jailed in the United Kingdom and, of course, everyone is making exactly the same point.

He has to get past a few convictions first like the one for using a false passport.

Simon Williams, a writer for popular spoof news website InfoSmash, said the video of the notorious racist thug pathetically begging for asylum was making his job utterly meaningless.

He told us, “This **** would not have got past the editor if I had come up with it. Tommy Robinson putting on a fake Jamaican accent while in prison is about as far as I would go and not feel I was entering Monty Python territory. But no, he is seriously asking a government to take him in as an unskilled jobless immigrant with a criminal record.”

If you are saying that you believe conditions in UK prisons are not safe or humane, you should of course be campaigning for prison reform. Or is there only one criminal whose life matters to you?

You'll be familiar with an alternative "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime" which may be particularly apposite for a repeat offender and career criminal like Yaxley-Lennon, with his long prison record. Perhaps you could try to reform him?

Do you think all convicted criminals, who could be in danger in prison, should be spared jail? Or just Yax?
 
Why do people feel the need to tell us his real name EVERY single time he’s mentioned ? Is it just smugness or do they refer to everyone in the public eye who’s changed their name ? I was asking this very question to Elton (real name Reg) just the other day.
