Are there any Building Control or Planning issues in replacing tiles on a house using the existing battens? Roof is insulated to regs and will not be disturbed, other than changing the tiles, from grey/green concrete Redland 51 to Sandtoft Rivius antique slate.

Thanks.

You are changing the colour and style of tiles, have a word with Planning
Thanks. What about Building Control? Am I interfering with a thermal element if I am not disturbing the battens, felt, or compliant insulation? The insulation itself was signed off by BC about a decade ago when the interior was re-done and dormers fitted.

No need to bother about the change in tiles affecting the thermal insulation / 'U' value of the roof.
