Our 5.5 yr old heat pump drier has stopped working. Drum rotates but machine doesnt warm up or extract water. Wife observed an error code of H86. Panasonic helpdesk useless- put me in touch with the only registered UK service centre in Warrington, who, were not interested in helping me in Essex.

I'm hoping someone may know or give a rough prognosis. Is this a write off, or should I pursue trying to find someone?

Sometimes there is a vessel that gets clogged with fluff-and-water paste. On some Bosch machines there is a "secret hatch" not mentioned in the instructions to access and clean it.

You need to quote the model number, a search on that might find someone who knows the fix. a local repairman who does a lot of these machines may know the answer without having to search. This is more likely if it is (was) a popular machine, such as a "Which" best Buy, when it was new.

H code refers to non customer serviceable item.Probably overheat switch tripped. Can be diy'd with a little knowledge.

generic video.

Kent side but may come to you and exceptional service, no inspection fee, no fix no fee.

Thanks both. I had already searched Google by model number. Unfortunately, it's not a popular model.
Thanks foxhole for the link and video - will give them a try. I'll take a look in the back first if I can. Have successfully repaired washing machine and dishwasher in the past so if there is a simple red button to try, it's worth it. I fear that parts for my machine might be an issue.
