Megaflo - rubbish shower pressure

ah, I probably wasn't listening properly then!
that actually makes more sense too.

next to it (above) was a red cylinder that a plumber told me was something to do with water pressure for the shower.

Most likely for the boiler, not for the UV cylinder. If it is, then that expansion vessel needs changing

Our pressure is shockingly bad, same as all the street!.

I fitted a Salamander Homeboost to ours which was a big improvement especially with the shower (electric).

12l per min flow (water regs due to being connected to mains supply) but pressure is much better.

I'd like to have a big tank and a bigger pump but haven't got the space unfortunately.

Reading on here a Megaflow really needs a decent incoming supply and pressure to start with, would be useless in our house.

Right away a few questions arise.

You are sharing the mains supply with others. If mains pressure poor, it will get worst when others using cold water
If incoming mains is 22mm, is it 22 all the way to the cylinder?
Are hot and cold balanced feeds.

I'm sure the guy from the water co said it was a 15mm main. And they'd charge me a few hundred £ just to do a survey on if it's possible to put in a dedicated main supply, and then it would be an enormous cost to get it into the house. No idea if the H&C are balanced
