Is this what we can expect from Johnson?

So are you saying that because of their family roots and their skin colour, they are unable to comment on the state of the country they call home, the only home they've ever had?

No I'm not. .

I've had plenty of conversations with white Englishmen who slag off this country.

"Do something about it don't just moan about it "
I say to them "go and live somewhere else if you hate it so much"

Are you saying that I cannot say it to them if they are not white?

Ahh.. so people who disagree with you are stupid ;) Great way to convince them.

You win in Politics by making sure your supporters turn out to vote, not to convince the other side. What would it take you to vote Labour?

Trump has focused in on immigration and race which matter more to people than the economy. He can end the Medicare they rely on, cut their welfare payments etc but as long as he is going after immigrants both legal and illegal he will get their vote.

Johnson should do the same and he will win in a GE, there is now no point trying to be a centrist. The labour party like the Dems in the US are being pulled apart trying to appease both their wings. The Tories credit to an election winning machine have pitched their tent square in with the Right Wingers. You reap what you sow.

But the people in question were Americans - one was born in New York, one in Ohio, one in Detroit. The only one not born in America was a child refugee.
And none of them are running the country down, they are just doing the job of the opposition and highlighting what the government is doing wrong - it's called politics.

It's just that for Trump, this can never be an American. It can't be long before he's impeached.

I've not read much about this but you can say to somone who's born in a country if you don't like it do this or do that. Did he say this directly to their face in an aggressive way.

I've said before he's not my cup of tea and I'd rather have JC as my drinking buddy. But everything he says he gets jumped on.

It sounds like you're trying to justify what Trump has said.

And he didn't say if you don't like it, go live somewhere else instead. He said they should go back 'home'. Problem is home is the USA to these people, the only difference that seems to stick out to trump is their skin colour.

Not really I wish he would stop this tweeting crap. And have some sort of adviser slapping his rist and taking his phone off him before he presses send.

What brought all this on? Why has he picked on these 4 women. I hate bully's and if he's said Julie what's your name you need to fnck off back where ever er, then I'm with you. Was he aggressive.?

Like I've said I've said the same to white English born.

I've said in a more gentle way to an Italian freind who was not happy. Maybe you need to go home. I did because I disliked Australia.

Perhaps you should go read it before commenting. Then you'd be informed!!

If I come to Portugal to live, and all I did was run the country down
Perhaps if you made suggestions that would make the country better, those suggestions could be interpreted (by a big fat right wing lying gammon) as 'running the country down'.

Conversely, there may be people that are born in the USA, who happen to appear different to The Donald, that quite rightly call the USA their home.

  • a young, charismatic leader who had a chance of winning.
  • Someone who would help the UK become more competitive in the world
  • Policies that did not target better off people as some sort of cow to be milked or evil to be punished.

Why has he picked on these 4 women.

Politics. They oppose his policies. Some snippets, all from Wikipedia ... :

Ocasio-Cortez

Ocasio-Cortez supports transitioning to a single-payer healthcare system, recognizing medical care as a human right.
Ocasio-Cortez compared the detention centers for undocumented immigrants at the Mexico–United States border to "concentration camps".
Ocasio-Cortez is a proponent of LGBTQ rights and LGBTQ equality.
Ocasio-Cortez has called for "solidarity with Puerto Rico". She has advocated for granting Puerto Ricans further civil rights, regardless of Puerto Rico's legal classification.

Ilhan Omar

Omar has said she is in favor of the abolition of the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
She supports prosecuting federal officials who have been accused of physical and sexual assault of people in their detention
Omar criticized Barack Obama's "caging of kids" along the Mexican border.

I think this is the main thing:

In June 2019 Omar was one of four Democratic representatives to vote against the Emergency Supplemental Appropriations for Humanitarian Assistance and Security at the Southern Border Act, a $4.5 billion border funding bill that required Customs and Border Protection to enact health standards for individuals in custody such as standards for "medical emergencies; nutrition, hygiene, and facilities; and personnel training." "Throwing more money at the very organizations committing human rights abuses—and the very Administration directing these human rights abuses—is not a solution. This is a humanitarian crisis ... inflicted by our own leadership," she said.

Ayanna Pressley

During her victory speech following the September primary election, Pressley called out President Donald Trump, claiming he is "a racist, misogynistic, truly empathy-bankrupt man."[42] She aspires to impeach President Trump.

In June 2018, Pressley called for the defunding of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), saying the law enforcement agency poses an "existential threat" to immigrant communities.

Rashida Tlaib

Tlaib has said she opposed providing aid to a "Netanyahu Israel" and supported the Palestinian right of return and a one-state solution.
Tlaib has criticized Saudi Arabia's human rights violations and the Saudi Arabian-led intervention in Yemen.
Tlaib supports efforts to impeach President Trump. In August 2016 she protested a speech Trump gave at Cobo Center and was ejected from the venue.

There is lots more. Just politics. They wish to put human rights, compassion and equality before money and oppression. They sound like the good guys to me.

I get that. But to Trump he thinks he's doing a good job.

Thank you.
I will read when I get 5 minutes.

Maybe you need to go home. I did because I disliked Australia.
That was your own choice...

Not something forced upon you or suggested to you against your own will...

A totally different scenario!
