Garden step over long run

I need to build 2 steps along the width of my patio. As there is quite a fall across the span I am wondering how best to approach it. Should I keep the top step the same height all along with the bottom step going from small to large or should both get bigger as it spans across so the steps is always equal?

If the steps are going to be usable at the deep end then I would have thought keep steps equal, What is the hieght of the fall at each end ?

Nicely laid slabs by the way, seem very close together, how are they pointed?

What about building the wall all the way across then having some steps 3 slabs wide in the middle?

Thanks, they’re butt jointed so need some ultra fine sand to fill where they’re off-square.

There is 300mm at the tall end and 250mum at the short end. I’m thinking it would be easier to lay the steps level and have the lower step get shorter as it gets to the short end.

They are very pleasing on the eye. Worth sealing them and pointing the gaps though otherwise you'll get weeds.

Thanks! What would you recommend for sealing them? The pointing will get done, but I need to find a suitable sand. For now the weeds have to fight through weed mat, 100mm of hardcore, 50mm of cement and then 15mm of mortar

But any soil, sand, dirt and moisture inevitably settling between the slabs will of course be the ideal home for the many types of weeds that thrive in those spots, totally separate to what's below

I use the Non Nonsense stuff from Screwfix purely because it was cheap and I know other people who use it. Unfortunately it is a sealer that sits on the top rather than being fully absorbed by the slabs -- means it has to be re-applied every 1 or 2 years but simple enough job.

Yeah I did think they would be the potential areas for them. I’ll get it done soon I’m sure.
