Hi can anyone help me get my blind off the bracket? It is a spring one so no cord.

Having checked a few videos, it looks like all I have to do is turn the white wheel 1/4 turn to release. The thing is it doesn't move more than say 5 degrees in either direction. I've put quite a bit of force into it but don't want to break it. How do I get the damn thing off?

ta!

Looks like it has not been cut short enough, you may have to get a screw driver blade between the tube end cap & the bracket & lever it out.

Could be a spring loaded model, push towards one end and lower the other?

Thanks but assume I'm an idiot - which end?

Should be the right hand side looking at your pic. or try the other end if that does not work

I can't see any scope for movement in the right hand end.

I have some blinds where, to get them out, you lift the non-corded end a fraction, then pull it towards you. There is a slot for the axle to move along. To prevent it coming out accidentally, there is a matchstick-sized wedge that pushes in to block the channel in the fixed plastic bracket that the end of the blind slides out along.

I think I've had some where you lift the end of the blind and one end of the axle lifts out of a slot in the bracket.

More photos, both sides, from multiple angles, including above, may help.

if you need to remove one of the metal brackets, fully unwind the blind first, that will make the roll thinner and give more room for your screwdriver. If you have an identical blind at any other window, see if you can work that one out.

You can see the roller is too long, it is pushing on the left-hand bracket and bending it sideways.

It's a spring loaded one John it should not be removed whilst pulled down as the tension on the spring will be too high. They don't just slot in but are held firmly through the metal brackets
