Hi there, I used some flash tape from B&Q to tape some tears and rips in the felt of my attic. It worked great to start with but has peeled off. I suspect it is too hot in there. Any suggestions for getting it to stick or products I could use to help sticking. Thanks so much!

Char1980, good evening.

Can I suggest that it may be a mix of condensation and heat that has occasioned the tape you used ? even the constant fluttering in a wind can cause issues?

If you can try one of the "reinforced" tapes that are designed for "wet" applications? I have heard that some of the "Gorilla" tape may work??

Ken.

Felt in loft will be very dusty and tape won’t last long on dust .
Is the felt old , ripping could suggest its past its best and needs replacing .
Flash tape? Do you mean flashing tape ?

I was planning on using flashing tape for a couple of rips. What I've read is make sure surface is dust free. Apply in hot weather. Can use hair dryer to heat the tape. Use a roller to press it down after heated up.

Flashing tape is too heavy will fall off under its own weight .
