Would you buy building supplies on eBay?

I might for a shed.

I have bought certain items off ebay when I understand them enough to quality-check them, and possibly restore to good working order.

locks, hinges, screws, doorknobs, engraved switches, for example.

Cheap Celotex is likely to be damaged. It is also (we now know) dangerously flammable.

Bought loads of mine on eBay. You can still reject it if the quality isn't as described. Usually its in good condition

As long as you don't need to wait 8 weeks for 6 m2 of concrete coming from China like I did.

It can often be cheaper to get the best deal you csn from a local builders merchant.

You can sometimes fet a few sheets of celetex insulation on ebay from privste sellers where they have some left over from a job.

For pallet quantities its worth trying seconds and Co.

Celotex is usually usable, whatever condition it is in. I used a sheet that had been on a friend's shed roof for two years.

Was it still workable when it arrived?

I bought all my PIR insulation off eBay. What can be wrong with it if it’s in decent nick? Trim the edges off the duff ones. 120mm boards are £60 new. Got mine for £20

Yes.

And Amazon.

Anywhere that is cheap, easy to order and delivers is good by me!

eBay and Amazon both have good buyer protection - don't like, just return. Amazon tends to be better i think.

Amazon will start their drone deliveries soon too, so you won't even need a concrete pump any more.
