Hello - my Texecom alarm (Elite 24) just starting bleeping and I received a notification "the Dining Room PIR Movement Sensor in your home Dining Room went in to Supervision Fault at 12:51 today".

I am new to this alarm. Does anyone know what this means and what I can do about it?

I haven't even entered the dining room today.

Thank you for any help offered.

So it's not a big deal then - just lost connection with the panel (not a battery issue)? That's reassuring. Very many thanks.

It is a big deal, in that a sensor has lost contact with the panel for at least 2 hours, meaning its not working.

This could be due any number of reasons including battery power, radio jamming, device fault, signal being blocked by a large metal object.

I cant say why it went into supervision fault, most common cause is battery failure and the device no longer polling in but have seen all the above causes,
