Harvested this lot from my allotment this afternoon. Red and golden beetroot, new potatoes, radishes, French beans, an assortment of leaves, red and white onions, parsley and some mint. Made myself a nice salad for tea tonight - just added a bit of cheese and a boiled egg. Oh those new spuds! Boiled with some butter, mint, sea salt and black pepper. Mm, mm, Mmmmmmmm.

Taken near Stowmarket this afternoon. PA474 Avro Lancaster, (this season known as Leader but we prefer her last name of Thumper), after she had done a flypast at Stowmarket Festival. We were parked up on a side road next to the A14 and I swear she dipped her starboard wing as she went past us in the third picture. She was away from the festival site and we were the only people in the vicinity so they could see we were taking pictures.

They have at least built a cracking little heritage museum out of the old (I say old but it wasn't that old) fire station.
