I've purchased an opal xl, 4 zone expanded and digi zone. Can anyone advise on the wiring from the 4 zone expanded to the opal detectors. Inside the 4zone it says zone 1 for gjd detectors. The connectors are A1 A2 A3 S1. How does the correspond to the wiring in the gjd detector which has - A S +

The manual is confusing. Any one had experience of these please?

S to S1....this is area1 ....so will tell the controller it’s dark
A to A1....this is area 1 ....so will activate the lights when above says it’s dark
So if you where going to have another opal head in zone 1 , you would repeat above ...but put it in A2 if you wanted to know which sensor had picked up movement ...

Ok that helps a lot and makes it pretty simple. I'm going to have 4 opals on 4 different zones so I just repeat the above I take it. Also I have an extension speaker which I will put upstairs. Where would this wire in to? Thanks again.

You can’t connect a speaker , extra keypad or piezo sounder wired to aux , you would need two for all 4 zones as each pair , 1+2 , 3+4 have separate aux

Cant I connect one piezo to do all the zones? I'd like a buzzer to go near the outside of the house so people know they are being watched etc

Ok all wired in now. One annoying thing is the beep, I used to have a Voltek system which had a pleasant chime. This seems to have an annoying beep which cuts off then goes again, if that makes sense. The voltek was a constant beep if say someone was walking across the drive and breaking the beam. Any way to change this on the GJD?

You could use the voice recorder in place of the peep.
You can record a separate messages per zone.
