Morning guy's, we have uPVC multi point locking front door fitted with a high security Euro profile cylinder lock. The lock is about 12 months old.

We locked up & went out for the day & came back & put key in & wouldn't turn in lock to open. Tried handle & door opened. It has happened twice before, once each to my wife & me. We both initially thought we hadn't locked up properly. On the last time, we know we definitely did.

Doesn't happen very often, but obviously very concerning. Has anyone came across this before? Any replies gratefully received.

I had the same happen to me. I just put it down to not turning the key enough to engage the lock.
We always try the handle now.
I suppose the same that most people lock things then try the handle, go to any car park.
Better safe that sorry.

Cheers for the reply. It happened again yesterday. Got a phone call off daughter to say door was unlocked. We know it was locked when we left, tried handle etc. I'm going to replace the barrel today, but was wondering if it could be something else?
