To be blunt Boris and Trump use similar langues, stereotypes etc to keep their voters on side so they can implement horrible economic policies (in the case of Boris, his disasters as Mayor). The MSM falls into focusing on what they say and not what they do.

The same people who voted for Trump are the ones who will be paying more tax, have less healthcare, a dirtier environment etc but the Dems instead of focusing on these real issues are worried about border camps and racist language (it's not an election winner)

Neoliberal policies means that inequality rises until we have a breakdown of society.

Serious question, where do you lads/lasses get your information from ? I must admit i’ve become sceptical as i get older and find myself treating EVERYTHING i read/hear with a pinch of salt and believe everything has an agenda attached. P.S. this is not aimed at either the left or right thinkers on here.

Its very difficult, you are right almost everything you read has an agenda. Media is written with a bias and we all have a tendency to confirmation bias. Its why politics is so tribal and people dont want to change their mind.

The rise of the internet seems to have created more fake news than ever.

There are loads of sites which call themselves 'think tanks', but what they write is more propaganda rather than free thinking. There are plenty of American tight wing thinktanks -cato institute for example that are biased.

There are some websites that give their views on the level of bias. Also a quick google usually identifies the sponsors for a website.

Despite its criticism, the BBC is pretty good.

And online news, the Guardian is quite good, albeit with a Left wing bias.
The independant is ok.

Factcheck is quite good, but even that has a bit of bias.

Lyndon B Johnson was a former president of the USA and became President after Kennedy assassination.

This essentially formed part of Nixon Southern strategy to make poor white people vote against their best interests and it still holds true today. Trump may or may not be a racist but the people who latch on and support him when he says these words are because he is 'picking their pockets' whilst they shout "send her back, send her back".

LBJ was a democrat and Nixon was a republican.
