I have a Honeywell Optima G4. I accidentally cut the wire that leads to the front door sensor (zone 1) during re-decorating the porch. I have re-attached the wire using a choc box however this has not fixed the problem. Strangely, the alarm did not activate when I initially cut the wire.

When I now try and set the alarm the LED lights under zones 3 and 4 light up when attempting to set the alarm (I have 4 zones) The alarm also beeps fast constantly and does not go silent.

Zone 3 used to be the French windows but is now not used and is permanently connected in the kitchen somewhere, zone 4 is the back garage door which is closed.

I have tried omitting zones 3 and 4 in the program menu, when I do and attempt to set the alarm the beeps sound slower but still do not stop even after closing the front door.

Do I need to factory reset the system or is this something that only an engineer can solve?

Yes, zone 2 has PIR sensors in 3 rooms. I did a walk test and zone 2 LED lit up when I activated one of the sensors, I did not try the other 2 though.

Zone 1 is front door and garage but the LED light did not light up when I did a walk test and opened each door.

Possible blown fuse in control panel?
Need to check 20mm glass 1amp aux power fuse

If it is the fuse, is it possible to access the control panel without triggering a tamper alarm?
