Planning permission - now what

A builder who needs detailed drawings for a simple single storey extension isn't a builder, (unless this is some off-piste grand-designs type extension)

Just to play devils advocate is a builder who needs guidance on building regs for such a simple extension really a builder?

There is no guarantee you'd find a designer capable of producing adequate drawings.
If you go to the wrong sort of designer maybe :!: - but architects and architectural technicians know how to produce architectural drawings believe or not .
QUOTE="A_Novice, post: 4419155, member: 252372"]Producing drawings for building control to approve is very different to drawings with the necessary details for builders to use.[/QUOTE] A bit misleading - most builders can build such things as house extensions from building regs approved drawings.
More detailed drawings are produced for bigger projects .

There is nothing wrong with any builder requiring bldg. regs drawings for any building work if it needs bldg. regs approval.
