Nailer

I'm building a small bike shed out of reclaimed wood. Mostly small smaller pallets. The base is done with screws. Now I'm coming to the sides and I have to make frames from I think it's single lap joints construction they will be heavily glued and screws and total 4cm deep and 8 to 10cm wide. When I come to putting the slats on I was gonna use screws but someone said a nailer.

Q would the Aldi ferrex be ok? Could u recommend something different that's better ?
Q also tho I thinking I need a nailer to put the slats on, would screws be better?

For my current needs slat plus frame is 55mm deep but I do like to future proof my purchases. Other things I may wanna do is make some a planter or DIY around the place

Anyone? Just I only have 2 half days this week to do anything and can't so anything for a week.

It's a combined stapler/nailer. My experience with those is that they work fine as a stapler, but when driving pins they leave a wide and deep mark as the driving pin is designed for an 8 to 12mm staple, not a pin. Also, is this an 18ga pinner? If so completely unsuitable for exterior work IMHO where a 15 (fifteen) gauge pin is more what I'd consider (as a minimum - note that the smaller the gauge number the thicker to pins: most commercial skirting pinning is done with 16ga, 18ga and smaller are used more for small beadings in the workshop, true nailers use 2.1 to 3.1mm diameter nails). 18ga pins would rust out very quickly and give only minimal resistance to wind
