Hi, I've got a 2007 Peugeot Boxer. Occasionally, and usually in 3rd gear, the motor won't rev up and the van won't accelerate with the accelerator fully down. If I put the clutch in then the motor will rev up. If I drop in to 2nd then it seems to rev up ok then I can usually go back in to 3rd with no issues. Any ideas? Turbo?

I think the engine is going into safe mode, often due to EGR or turbo boosting mechanisms - Id be surprised if the management light wasn’t on though!

Thanks for your reply. It happened again today, driving about 55mph in 5th. Dropped down the gears and ended up in 2nd at about 40mph which cleared it. Hi revs cos of the vehicule speed, I wasn't pressing the accelerator. Definitely no engine warning light.
When was the van last treated to a new fuel and air filter, before we go any further?
