Hi all,

Looking to drain the heating system on my Worcester Bosch combi boiler to do some radiator work.

The work might take a couple of weeks so the system will be left empty.

Can I keep the boiler on the whole duration so the hot water still works, or is it a must for a particular reason to have the boiler off (Or cap up and refill the heating system?)

Thanks.

It is the same water in your radiators that circulates through the primary and secondary heat exchangers to run your hot water. Boiler and pipework must be filled and pressurised in order to work correctly and not damage the boiler.

Ok, Thanks. I will cap of the rad pipes and refill the system.
