Email Scam?

B

Bodd

I get these sort of emails all the time.

Never open as I think must be a scam or a virus.

Any body else get them. May be another name and wording.

Do you say that because he says Make over?

Some will be a complete different project name approach. Blah blah blah.

Just don't see what they are getting from these emails

they're hoping to trick you into downloading and running the file.

who knows what the file will do? It might be a keylogger that will record the passwords you enter when using your bank, and send them to the gangsters. It might be thing that will encrypt all your files unless you pay a ransom. It might be a spam generator that will send using your email. It might sit quietly until activated by a foreign power.

Yeah. Generally, we don't say that.

I think "London, United Kingdom" tells you everything you need to know.

TBH, anyone, in business, who falls for this basic scam deserves everything he gets (or loses ;) )

TBF, it is easy to be misled, especially for the elderly who are often more trusting and do what they are asked to do.

Careful being ageist! There are many in business who are in the older age brackets.
