Not familiar with that make of valve , what is it ? , looks like a removable head though so no need to drain anything, have seen similar that are just a quarter turn and the actuator comes off

If you have a spare valve that you know is good just wire it in and remove the existing valves wires and see if the fuse holds, no need to connect the valve to the wet system you are just doing a test

I have put the other Valve on and still no luck......Fuse blows even though the Boiler was OFF

No idea what could be causing it:(

The Valve is this

can only be a wiring problem then, have you done anything, hung a picture screwed down a floor board or anything that could have punctured a cabe, every customer I have ever asked always says no then when I find it , OH I didnt think that could do it

We only had a small leak from the radiator around 6 months ago in the Living Room

It was fine Tuesday night as we went to bed although there was neither the Hot Water or Heating on, just the Program Timer set to 'Twice' for both, but the Room Thermostat turn right down to Minimum

It was just in the very early hours of Wednesday morning the power cut out in the house, well before the Hot Water was due to come on at 6.10am

It seems the Programmer has had it

Does this have to be a Lifestyle LP241 Heating Programmer or will another similar Drayton model fit straight in with needs for re-wiring

Thanks

Thanks for that link

The Lifestyle LP241 Heating Programmer we have at present is the old one which was in when we moved in to the house (new build) in 1994, as the image shown in my opening post

So could we have a current model LP112, LP241, LP522, LP722, LP241Si, LP522Si or LP722Si on top of the existing backplate?

I would double check the terminals before connecting any new programmer to be absolutely safe, but it should be standard, provided it's been wired correctly in the first place! The Sundial wiring plans have been around for as long as I can remember, and I started as an apprentice way back in 1989.
