my mixer shower is drip drip dripping constantly. It’s all a bit manky and I should probably fit a new one.

Any advice for a reasonably priced replacement?

What type have you got currently ?
Is pipework and valve exposed or concealed ?

The pipes are 150 mm apart on most horizontal bar mixers ( but not all are ).
If yours are ,then you have quite a lot to choose from. Starting around 60 quid . tool station and screwfix stock several.
If your hot water is from a combi / pressurised or pumped from a cylinder they all work quite well.Tritons range are all OK ,but a bit more money.

Thank you yes the centres are 150mm
Is there really much difference in performance/longevity between say a £85 one and a £140 one?

Not really that much difference in performance ,or longevity in my opinion. Those that look fancier ,or come with nicer looking riser rails/ soap dishes etc cost more .
