OK. I have a CD which I made up some time ago which plays on the JVC MX-D2T. "Properties" displays this file as CDFS, I can't remember what I used to convert it from MP3 to this format. After a search it looks like some form of ISO file, but how did I get it there! Have been looking at Power ISO??
Googling for "MP3 to CDA" gives me a list of options including Windows Media Player as a way to burn a new CD audio disc.

Sorry, forgot about the "thanks"
Useful stuff, will investigate.
Just realized the JVC is 1990 vintage, but it has a Disc to Tape function which I use.
