Hi

I have moved into a new home with a Honeywell galaxy 2-12 alarm. The pervious owner did see to take care of the alarm that much. There were over 15 faults when I moved and I managed to replace all the wireless sensor batteries, which has reduced faults which to 3. However, it seems that one of the sensors is not working, as it's completely dead even after replacing the battery.

I have read a few posts on here, as to how to replace a sensor, but I don't seem to have the menu options that others seem to have, i.e.menu 52. Also I don't have the engineering code and I can't access the engineering mode. Can anyone help as to how I can replace a faulty wireless sensor?

Thanks

Edd

You need to default the system and start from scratch. It’s the only way if you do not know the engineers code.

Thanks Steven,

Do you have a guidance as to how I do that, and then how I reset the whole system. Is there a good YouTube guide that shows me?

If all else fails you can buy new G2-12 panels on ebay cheap.
BTW there's a service where you can monitor the G2 alarm for £1/month, so you can control the alarm from a phone app, and you get texts etc if the alarm is triggered (and more). Google Selfmon for more info. I've been a happy user for about 5 years now (but have no affiliation to the company).
