In the end, I have had to get someone round to do my Flat roof. Was intending on doing it myself (EPDM) but dog broke my finger (radial fracture pinned twice).

Decided on local roofer highly recommended online and also by an electrician I know, have had him round to do other roofing work and have been happy with his work.

I was looking at the roof where it abuts the house and it looks wrong to me (see attached).

My biggest concern is leaking, it may be that what he has done just looks rough but it will work.

Can someone explain what (if anything he has done wrong)?

Should it keep the water out as is?

If not what can be done to fix the issue(s)?

Hi catlad,

I broke and dislocated the middle finger on my left hand, had to have an operation, was out of action for 3 months.

I think I may be lost a bit of confidence in myself and whilst healing I committed to having him around.

The roofers I had round to take a look did felt not EPDM (or if they did EPDM it was more expensive as the roof tapers and there's a lot of waste).

I researched it and felt that felt would be an OK solution if done correctly.

What he's done looks wrong to me, but I cannot express it as I don't know how these areas should be handled, or now fixed.
