wall brick wearing

We live close to the sea 0.5km however, the wall gets quite a lot of wind , and as you can see from the image part of the wall is fine the other is hollowing out the bricks
This part of the wall was part near a large tree - which has been cut down now

not sure the cause or the cure , or what to do - render I guess

any suggestions

The mortar is too strong for those bricks. Especially as they look like they are made from concrete.

Salt air does attack OPC products. My sister-in-law used to live on Shoreham Beach 50 yards from the sea, and the joints on her 60's build house on the sea facing flank were back 1.5 inches back in the 80's.
 
If you look at the buildings on many of the seafronts they are usually rendered.
 
thanks , as mentioned we are quite a way from the sea front. but its quite windy and that part of the wall is in the corner, so yes I will render
