If running a cable under floorboards on the ground floor of a house that has the suspended floor, is the cable ok to go by an air brick?

It won't run directly past it but pretty close, within 8 inches or so, maybe 12. I imagine it will be ok regards moisture etc, none should get on it from the outside but thinking the cold, I imagine the cable would be much colder at this point, does it matter?

Just wondering if there is a certain part of the cable that is much colder, might it draw more power down one side of the ring?

Seriously, don't worry.

Edit: As that may not have been enough to satisfy you... In my opinion the phenomenon you envisage will have a very much smaller effect than for example different cable lengths in the first place. Or differences in load at different places. Or other variables. This is based on an engineering degree and a lot of experience.

Thank you, much appreciated. You can imagine it was a thought just niggling me and couldn't find anything out there on it so thought best just ask.

The only thing would be to ensure that you have a drip loop when using the air brick

I confirm that I am not putting a cable through the air brick. Whilst searching for my worry I happened upon a few discussions out on t'internet regards people putting cable through air bricks; interesting discussions by the way.

My cable will be completely on the inside of the house and will run along a wall (but not directly pinned to it, about 8 -12 inches away from the wall) under the floorboards and as it does it will go past an air brick.
