Hi
Can anyone help
I have installed a Texecom premier Elite 64W it’s not fully commissioned all the devices are added and were connected.
The bell strobe etc was operating using the test menu, the PIRS and door contacts were programmed.
Upon adding text the keypad locked out I removed the batteries and it cleared however it read no ricochet network found.
I went back to the panel connected the commissioning cable and got the keypad to shown
Pressed yes and yes to confirm
Toggling through the up and down buttons all the other devices were showing.
However when I unplugged the commissioning cable the keypad read searching for ricochet network then no ricochet network found.
How do I get it to find the network?

With the wireless keypad, programming is possible, however I have found with many wireless keypads that are in real time, that they can stall if the signal is not very strong, with ricochet there can be a delay if its bouncing off another device.

Ideally wireless keypads should connect directly to panel and have a good signal, programming is a slower affair on a wireless keypad usually especially when they work in real time. Some wireless keypads on other panels store the changes and then send the data across when you log out so its a simplier process.

The problem now is the wireless keypad is not working, but does it work with the batteries in when its near to the panel?
Or just when connected with the engineers keypad.

Do you have Wintex available and a usb com/ smart com?

Hi
Many thanks for answering.
The keypad will only work now when it’s connect with the programming cable.
Only that is disconnected it’s reads finding network then no network.
I don’t have wintex or a USD comm
Should I get it?
Kind regards

it will make life easier to some degree, however if the keypad works when its plugged in we can do some checks.

do you remember which zone you learned the keypad to?

Hi
Hope you are ok.
Thanks for you help so far
I have now brought the cable
Could you advise where u download the software from?
Hopefully commissioning will be easy with it connected to the laptop?
Kind regards

Texecom website for official software.

The issue firstly is the wireless keypad before anything else.

Resolved,

The wireless keypad could not be seen in ricochet monitor but other devices could be seen.
Devices deleted that couldn't be seen via zone setup from first free zone to zone 40
Still wouldn't learn on
The panel was in commissioning mode, turned this off and was able to learn the keypad back on (Surprised me a little).

commissioning mode reapplied and system was up and running.
