90deg Screwdriver

I'm looking for a simple 90deg screwdriver that doesn't cost as much as Boris has embezzled.

If you like your motorbikes, it will only ever be used to adjust the pilot screws underneath CV carburettors. Doesn't need to be sturdy but does need minimal backlash.

Either that or some thin heat resistant, asbestos type gloves . . . IYKWIM.

a ratchet will probably work in about 1/8Th off the ark or less ??

OK. So we already tried a very high quality Facom ratchet that clicks 1000's of times every 360deg. Guess what?

Apart from the obvious, we also need it to go both clockwise & counter clockwise to adjust the airscrews.

We looking for a high quality 90deg screwdriver that doesn't cost more than a buxom blondes £££grant from a blonde with a silly haircut.

What about a poundland screwdriver of the correct size, and bend it to suit?

I do like people that answer their own post questions. I sometimes wonder if that’s the whole point of the post in the first place.

I wouldn't expect a person of your mentality to work out that the search for a 90deg screwdriver started on Friday & ended on Saturday.

For sure, that's a useful bit of kit!
Its always been an issue for me with in line air cooled fours......I set up the vacuum gauges as per instructions as for first setting the idle mixture screws to the manufacturers spec (clean bank of carbs essential, of course.)
Twiddling the mixture screws a fraction had no effect on that particular cylinder's vacuum, or indeed the exhaust gas temperature (tested with a laser type thermometer). Therefore I wasn't aware of what was happening! After that, I left things alone and concentrated on the cylinder balancing - which was again a bit of a nightmare as once things appeared balanced, blipping the throttle just once threw things out of kilter again.
I always managed to get an average balance and had to make do with that.
John :)
