I installed one of these last year as it seemed a simple fit and forget. The alarm is not great. It needs a lot of attention. Constant errors about jamming and supervision. Tamper alerts. Battery in the pirs does not last that long. Am I best to sack this off and get a wired texecom? Does anyone else have a yale smart series. Any issues?

My first question is if you cant install a Yale and get it working you may find the Texecom panel complicated.
Tamper and supervision, radio jamming sounds like you have one of the more expensive Yale alarms.
The question is why all these errors in the first place.
Hardwired always better than wireless, no jamming or batteries to worry about except the main panels back up battery.
Not enough specific information to say what is going on.

If the wireless channel is blocked or jammed then the PIR is in effect disconnected from the panel and cannot initiate an alarm if it detects an intruder.
The wireless channel can be blocked by short duration transmissions from other legal systems or jammed by prolonged transmissions from illegally operated transmitters.
Although this is possible, it is in real life very rare.

That's interesting. You're getting several short-term instances a day.
Your alarm isn't near the wifi, and you've turned off your baby alarm, remote-control car, cordless doorbell and so on? And you aren't using an electric drill, spot welder or anything? Motorcycle with no suppressor? How about your next-door neighbor?

Jamming from 17:05 to 17:11 means for 6 minutes your alarm would be un-likely to activate if there was an intrusion.
A manufacturer of wireless DIY alarms included ( amd may still include ) this in the installation manual for some of its products :-
Tamper alarm
If the siren detects a tamper condition it will activate the siren for the programmed period. If the tamper condition persists the siren will sound a series of five pips either every time the system is armed or when the tamper is enabled, to indicate a fault.
Radio jamming
This unit is equipped with the latest type of radio receiver using AM radio technology. If the system is armed, any criminal attempt to prevent (or jam) the detector transmissions will be picked up as interference and will trigger an alarm. If the alarm is frequently triggered by interference there may be high levels of unusual radio signals in your area. Some kinds of
electronic equipment can generate this kind of radio interference.
In the unlikely event of you experiencing problems with interference, it is recommended that you switch jamming detection off.

As Bernard says, if a burglar had the good fortune to break into your house in one of the brief periods, and if the jamming actually prevented a signal getting through, and if he left before the alarm detected him, he would be a lucky man. Lets hope you find and correct the problem before that happens.
Bernard has a particular hatred of the cheap, easy-to-install DIY alarm. Sadly he has been unable to uncover any occurrence of an ordinary domestic house, in an ordinary residential street, being successfully burgled thanks to signal jamming.

12 years experience in designing equipment for radio paging systems has given me a clear insight into how equipment operating on Licence Exempt channels can be rendered useless. Not just alarm systems.
Obviously as this is a public forum I am NOT saying how it can be done.

but no insight into burglaries carried out in real life.
In several cases where the police have arrested burglars who entered a building without triggering the obvious alarm the details of why the alarm did not activate are not made public. ( source a retired crime prevention officer )
