Alarm system 9448

All the lights are lit up and when I press buttons there is no sound and it won't do anything

More than likely battery faulty , power has been off and it’s locked up , down power system inc mains and battery .... it may need reprogramming if it’s gone back to 1234

Strangely enough it does not have a battery in it, it has worked fine but we haven't used it for a while. We are going away so wanted to change passcode. We have never opened up before but after seeing on here about changing battery we looked in and found there wasn't one. Even when mains are turned off the lights are all still lit up

Doesn't make sense. Take the fuse out of the FCU underneath the panel. I'd expect the green "power" light to go out.

Warning: The siren may sound. You might be able to stop it by replacing the fuse and resetting with your alarm code. if not the siren will probably stop after 20 minutes, or when its internal battery runs flat.

You might consider buying a new SLA battery for the panel, if you can get it working properly

There are 2 glass fuses behind panel, which 1 would I have to take out? Do I have to turn main electrics off to remove?

neither

the FCU (mains supply "fused connection unit") is this

it is probably supplied from the ground floor socket circuit, but it might have its own supply. It is best to turn off the power first as there may be a flash spark when a fuse is removed or replaced under load. The plastic cover is designed to minimise risk to you when this occurs.

Do not remove the two screws holding the faceplate on. The fuseholder is removed by levering a small screwdriver in the little slot. The fuse, and its holder, are made on the same principle as the fuse in a UK plug.

I have taken that fuse out but lights still on. I'm not sure if that fuse has blown but can see what amp it is to put a new one in

3A would be very suitable.

But I don't understand why the light is still on.

I'd be getting out my multimeter to try to see what's happening.
