Hi I have a run of 20a switches above the worktop in the kitchen, now the last in the run has 3 sets of cables and I have been trying but that 3rd cable is proving a problem can a junction of any type be used behind plasterboard. I have the ring in/out and a radial out ?
Thanks

3 cables shouldn’t be a problem. If it’s tricky use something like a Wago connector inside the box to connect a couple of the conductors together.

Personally I hate unnecessary junctions of any sort, especially if they are hidden. They can be a nightmare when they fail in 25 years time and some poor electrician cannot understand where the fault is.

Better to put the junction in a box with a blank plate over it.

If you really have to bury a junction, it must be of a maintenance free type and it must be within the recognised zones for cables.

Thanks was watching the rugby I will pick up my pliers tonight , left at my mothers to feed the cables onto the terminal
